Positive Believing – how it works and why it doesn’t work

God is the one who set the law of believing in this world. This law is practiced by everyone, doesn’t matter who you are.  Everyone believes, either positive or negative and the law states that what you believe you shall receive. The word shall means; absolutely without a shadow of a doubt, you shall receive according to your believing. Positive believing produces positive results; negative believing produces consequences, negative results.  God’s Word not only shows us how to believe positive, it also shows us how to maintain that way of thinking. Likewise, the Word shows us the negative side of believing, the consequences and how to rise above it.

How you think about the problem you are faced with, will determine the outcome. The words that come out of your mouth from what you believe in your heart will determine the results.  Labeling yourself a Christian doesn’t mean you live like one. You can call yourself anything you want, the things you speak and the actions you take determine who you are and how far you will go.  If you want to learn how to play golf you’re not going to read a football manual, if your want to learn how to drive a car you’re not going to study a baseball manual. So likewise with positive believing, we must read the manual written for it. God is the one who put this law into being, he wrote the book, so if anyone has a problem with it you need to take it up with the author.

Mark12;22  And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.  (Believe God)  ²³For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.   ²⁴Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believes that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Here is the key to success. That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, whosoever means exactly that, whosoever! Saint or sinner, a positive person or a negative person, whosoever is you and me, my kids or my parents, doesn’t matter, It’s whosoever. Shall say unto this mountain, (the words that come out of your mouth), be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart. I have to stop right here for a minute. Here is the key to your walk in life. SHALL NOT DOUBT IN HIS HEART, Shall not doubt, that means if you are believing for something and the moment you have doubt, then you are not believing positive. The verse goes on to say, but shall believe that those things which he saith, shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith; You speak it, you believe it! What have you been saying for the last 5 years, or since yesterday? What is coming out of your mouth? There are some people who complain about everything, doesn’t matter what it is, they always have something negative to say. Look at their life, by their own words they have set the pace on how they are living. You are doing the exact same thing. Your thought patterns determine the words you’re going to say. If God could make people stop talking negative he would, but he can’t and you can’t either. Freedom of will. What you speak is your choice. If you believe that the outcome is going to be negative then it shall come to pass. I told you earlier, shall means and this according to God’s Word, it means absolutely without a shadow of a doubt it will happen. If you speak a positive outcome, it will be a positive outcome as long as you have no doubt. The verse continues, ²⁴Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, (desire is demand) when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Can you for one moment see God’s heart, he wants you to have what you want and desire. When you pray, believe that you have received, and you shall receive. Believing is a verb and it means action. Act like you got it before you get it, action always precedes results, and you shall, without a shadow of a doubt have it.  You know what most people like to do and continue to do, is they blame God; they blame everyone else for their outcome except themselves. They whine and cry because they prayed to God and God didn’t answer their prayer. They talk and blabber about all the negatives in their life. Yet, they do nothing, take no action and they get no results. This verse of scripture, man if this is all you knew about God you could practice this in your life and get amazing results! It takes practice, we are so accustomed to being negative, that to talk positive is a challenge. Here is a formula I learned and want to share, it goes like this.

Confession of belief yields receipt of confession.  Believing equals receiving. What you speak and believe will absolutely come to pass for anyone anywhere.  If you believe that if someone has a cold and you get near them you will catch one also, then you will. If you believe you will get sick, then you will. If you believe you will never get a good job then you won’t. If you believe that God will not answer your prayers then he won’t. If you believe that according to the money you have in your account is how rich you will live, then it is. People trust their bank accounts more than they trust God. People put their trust into people before they trust God. If an entire city believes something that is negative then that city will have a negative effect.  No one ever taught me to change the way I was thinking when I was growing up, negative words are contagious. Have you ever noticed, you could be with a group of people and everyone can talk negative and get along just fine? They can rank down the State or the government, our president, their boss, their spouses, the school teachers, negative group discussions are normal. But the moment someone starts to talk positive about God, or their spouse or the state in which we live, or just being positive, people really don’t like it. They cannot relate. In our day and time it’s normal to cheat on your spouse, it’s normal to hate our mayor or president. It’s normal to hate your neighbor. Normal doesn’t make it right. God, according to the world isn’t normal. The same people who talk negative are living negative. What you speak, what you believe will come to pass, and that is whosoever. You must change what you are thinking and change what you are saying, in order to change what you are receiving. It takes practice, it takes being patient to yourself. It takes replacing negative thinking with positive thinking. It takes catching yourself thinking about what you are thinking. It take’s hearing the words that are coming out of your own mouth. It isn’t Gods fault your prayers weren’t answered, it was because you started to doubt. It happens so easily after we are finished praying, it is so easy for you to believe the things you see with your eyes more than to believe God. I want to explain doubt, how it leads to worry and worry become fear. Fear is believing except you get negative results. Job had some terrible things happen in his life, terrible! Lost his family, his possessions, and he said the things that I have greatly feared hath come upon me. The things you fear the most will come to pass in your life Job 3;25. Read it yourself.

 Mathew 6;19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:   ²⁰But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:   ²¹For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.  
The word treasures in this verse means, thoughts and affections. Lay not up for yourselves your thoughts and affections on earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt. Moth is fear, rust is worry. And where thieves break through and steal. The word thieves are doubts. Doubts break through and steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. What you think in your heart is how you are living your life. God says to believe first before you receive. To lay up for yourself treasures in heaven means to have the Word of God in your heart. All of God’s word is positive; he has over 800 promises for us to live by. He God promises to protect, to provide our every need, III John 2, beloved, I wish (desire above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospereth. Its Gods desire and will for us to prosper and be in health. Deuteronomy 8; 18, For it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth. I Peter 2;24 By his stripes we are healed. Every beating Jesus Christ took he took for you. Every whipping with leather throngs and pieces of metal and bone at the ends, that when whipped it would take out pieces of flesh. Every stripe he took he took for you and me. You are healed. If your thinking is sickness then change it. If you are sick then thank God for his loving arms to protect and to heal you. It’s a promise God made. Look at some of these promises, you can look them up I will give you the scriptures. Ask and you shall receive. Matt 21;22 Ask in prayer, believing Luke 11:9 Ask and it shall be given John 14;13 Ask in my name, I shall do, Ephesians 3;20 Now unto him (God) that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Who will dare to believe this? Who will dare to confess this with their mouth?  These are promises from God, God backs up his word. We have been let down over and over again by broken promises that we feed our negative thinking into Gods word. Read Ephesians over and over again until you have it memorized. He doesn’t do just abundantly above all we ask, but exceedingly abundantly above all. He can, his power, God can, God will. The word of God becomes living when you start living it, it becomes loving when you start to love. His Word is alive but dead works for you if you doubt. Doubt breaks through and steals, steals your prayers, your goals, your self-respect, your confidence, your money, your heart desires. Doubt leads to worry, then fear and fear is believing. Except you get negative results. We live in a fallen dark perverted world, that’s why it is extremely important to put the thoughts of God in your heart, keep them there and they will not get stolen. Thoughts and affections means to put Ephesians on in your heart. God is able, God is able, not your mom, not your girlfriend, not your job, God is able to give you more than what you can speak and more than what you can think. Well how much do you speak and what are you speaking? Signs miracles and wonders follow believers. They follow you when you believe. They don’t’ come first. So many people look for a sign then believe. If you continue to do that then you will stay in mental darkness. Guaranteed you will not go anywhere and you will blame God and everyone else for your misery.  Thomas said, I will not believe unless I see, even though he walked with Jesus and saw the miracles he did, he said I will not believe. Here is what Jesus said to that. John 20;29 Blessed are they that have not seen and yet have believed. We are blessed, whether you feel like it or not, being blessed from God has nothing to do with your feelings. A person biggest problem is stated right here. Mathew 22;29 Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.  The problem stems from either we don’t’ know what is written, what is promised to us or we do not know the power of God. You must remember God is able to do above and beyond what soever you can ask or think. Romans 15;13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, I told you there was joy and peace in believing. The moment you start to doubt that’s when you start to lose peace. Doubts steal your peace and confidence. You can be filled with joy and peace in believing. How could you not? Its practice, thought by thought, moment by moment. When we fall, God picks us back up, wipes off the dirt and stands us back on our feet. The word also states not to be un-equally yoked with unbelievers, people who do not believe positive or reject God, will influence your life, and the decisions you make. You know that. You can’t make anyone be positive, you have tried and did not succeed, because if God can’t make them either can you. You choose how long you want to be with others that have a mind like that. You can love them with God’s love, you can teach them to believe so they can receive. If that individual refuses to believe Gods Word, there is absolutely nothing you can do, except struggle. Shake off the dust, shake off the negatives that person puts out and walk away. Believing can be real exciting; your life can be exciting and wonderful to live. You can actually say, I love my life. With God, all things are possible, without God; yep, you get a dark and fallen world. What you say and speak will come to pass. Try it! You have nothing to lose by speaking his Word. Philippians 4;13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me, another translation is, I am ready for anything and equal to anything through him who infuses inner strength into me. You have God in Christ in you, you can do all things. You believe then you receive. I will end this teaching with James, this is very cool.  James 1;6 But let him ask in believing, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. V7, for let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. V8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 2;17 Even so believing, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. V18, yea a man may say, thou has believing and I have works; shew me thy believing without thy works and I will show thee my believing by my works.  Say all you want about yourself, your actions show who you are. The Words you speak and believe equal to what you receive. As a man thinketh in his heart so is he.  You have the power today to believe positive, you have positive words to replace the negative words you have been confessing yesterday and today. God is able to bring to pass anything you ask because he loves you. Fear has captured our minds all our lives and that can change. The battles are won by captivating people with fear. We have the power to captivate our fears and walk in power. The moment you start to doubt, grab your mind and make it think the Word. Practice, we have a very loving God he does not whack you over the head for being negative, he doesn’t need to we are very good at doing that ourselves. Go stand and speak these wonderful words of life. Dare to rise up to this level of believing; with God you can do it! It is available right now for you to live without stresses and money problems, to live without guilt and condemnation to have peace and confidence in knowing that everything is going to be alright. How to stand and resist evil

Most people believe that God watches over them with a hammer in his hand so he can hurt you when you do something wrong. We have been taught it’s his will when someone we love dies; we have been taught he puts horrible things in front of us to test us. Religion has and will continue to destroy people’s lives.  Until you come unto knowledge of truth, you will be deceived into that kind of thinking.

John 10;10 Says the thief cometh not but to steal, kill and destroy.  The devil has several names, such as the serpent, accuser, satan, etc.  A thief steals things that rightfully belong  to you.  Have you ever had your heart broken, your peace replaced with anguish, confidence replaced with guilt, believing turning into fear?  This spiritual thief is here to steal, to kill and destroy. Look around you and you can see who is running this world.  Right after that, Jesus says, but I am come that ye might have life and that ye might have it more abundantly.  God’s Word is God’s will. He doesn’t want you to just have life, but to have it more abundantly.  What I want to share with you is how to stand with and for God and how to resist evil. Look closely at this scripture.

I Peter 5;7  ⁷Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.  ⁸Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:     ⁹Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
To cast all your care upon him, (God) means just that, aim it like you would if you were casting your fishing pole. Give it to God. There is nothing God cannot and will not do for you. Give it to God, all your fears; let him fight your battles. That’s God’s job. Your adversary, he knows all about your weaknesses, and you’re past. He walks around like a roaring lion, the lion roars to freeze its prey. To scare it, to cause fear so that you do not act. The devil is the one who causes fear. Read the newspapers, watch TV, and talk to your neighbors. It’s all fear motivated. God says to resist! That’s what this teaching is about, How to resist.  Fear is man’s biggest enemy. Fear starts in your heart and mind. Where your thoughts and behavior patterns are stored. Our God is a loving God, he will fight your battles, but you, in your heart and thought patterns need to cast it to him, and don’t reel them back in.
I want to take you to Genesis 39;1 This is about Joseph; we are only going to cover a small part of this chapter. When Joseph was young, he found favor in his father’s eyes. He loved God and his father, Jacob, who was later re-named by God, Israel. Jacob gave him a coat of many colors. It represented him as inheriting power to be a leader. Joseph had several brothers, and they were jealous of him and hated him. In fact they had planned to kill him. You see families all the time fighting within, usually it’s over jealousy. What they finally decided to do so his blood would not be upon them. They had found a huge pit, they killed a goat, took Joseph’s coat and dipped it into the blood, took it back to their father and said, look, here is his coat with blood; he had been killed by a wild beast. During this time, his brothers had taken Joseph by force, when they had seen the enemy coming, they sold him into slavery. He could not get out of that one. Of course, his father was heartbroken, and in totally misery, he loved Joseph more than all of them.  Years have passed; Joseph was re-sold to a Pharaoh, an Egyptian king. This is where we will begin.
Genesis 39;1-23  ¹And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither.   ²And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.   ³And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.  ⁴And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.   ⁵And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.
I want to draw your attention to this. God is the one who causes us to prosper. Not your paycheck, its God. The master saw that the Lord was with him. Well what do you think he saw? As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. You shall be known by your fruits. Joseph was faithful to details, and God caused the kings fields and his home to prosper. God is so big! Our God is this same God. Where you go to work at, that placed will be blessed, where you are, God is present and he will bless it. You don’t have blessings because you feel good, has nothing to do with how you feel, it has to do with what God gives. Remember Jesus Christ saying he wants us to have a more than abundant life.  Joseph was a slave, yet he remained faithful, worked hard and put his trust in God. It doesn’t matter to God what kind of jobs you have, what matters is that you work hard, and pay attention to details. God is the one who causes you to prosper. People get caught into such a head game. They really think that their position makes them better than someone else. Or people quickly change their ways when the boss walks in, wanting to look perfect. Or they bow down to someone with authority. They put someone who has millions of dollars or a title in a different category, they make them out as if they were some great one. The greater the servant the greater the leader. That’s how it works in God’s eyes. Over seer is someone who is next in line to the owner, he has rule over his entire household and all that he owns. He makes the decisions and makes sure they get carried out. We are to be faithful stewards daily. Take care of what you have. If someone cannot be faithful to the small details, they will not be faithful to big ones. I said in one of my earlier teachings, if you need to have something done, ask a person who is busy, they will make the time and do it. A lazy person will never perform and complete the task. 
⁷And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.
 ⁸But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;
 ⁹There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?
Look at this! Here is the king’s wife; she had everything and more that a person could ask for. Yet, she wanted Joseph to sleep with her. She had no respect for her husband, cheating on him was no big deal to her. It’s the same thing in our day and in our time. Married people cheating. God never designed marriage for a un-believer. His Word teaches how to love each other and important details to have for a marriage to work. The king’s wife was a disgrace to her husband. She had no respect for him or for Joseph; she just wanted sex and was ready to do anything. Joseph said who am I that I should sin against God? So many people do not care about God at all. They are motivated by a deep greed and will spare no expense on who they hurt to get what they want.
¹⁰And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.
 ¹¹And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within.
 ¹²And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.
 ¹³And it came to pass, when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand, and was fled forth,
 ¹⁴That she called unto the men of her house, and spake unto them, saying, See, he hath brought in an Hebrew unto us to mock us; he came in unto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice:
 ¹⁵And it came to pass, when he heard that I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me, and fled, and got him out.
She nagged him daily for sex. Every time he turned the corner there she was exposing herself, charming and, seducing him. When she grabbed onto his clothes, she wanted to force him on her, he fled, and he got the hell out. You know what she did? She screamed rape! She hated him so much for refusing her she screamed rape! This angers me. When people cannot get what they want then they do whatever they can to make you look like the bad guy. Jealousy motivated people do that.  You would think that people would like you in the workforce, when all you do is a good job, and you’re being nice to them. But they don’t. The more committed you are to doing your job and having heart for people, you will be despised. The thief cometh to steal, kill and destroy. To steal your dignity to make God look bad. What do you think her husband is going to think of God after he finds out? People are falsely set up and sent to jail all the time. They are lied about and then are found with false evidence.  People will talk about you behind your back, the more good you do the more you will be hated. The first thing she did was start the gossip rolling, telling others first. That’s to get people fired up and supporting you. She got them all set up to hating Joseph. Then she goes on to tell her husband, the king.
¹⁹And it came to pass, when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spake unto him, saying, After this manner did thy servant to me; that his wrath was kindled.
 ²⁰And Joseph's master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison.
 ²¹But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
 ²²And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it.
 ²³The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper.
Well of course her husband is going to be outraged. Someone whom he trusted and set him up to watch over his whole kingdom and home and then he hears Joseph tried to rape his wife. How would you feel? How many people have lost their jobs because of liars? This world is full of thieves, liars, and back biters. What are we suppose to do? You stand your ground in your mind, and trust God. God didn’t take it away; he caused Joseph to prosper, even in prison! I told you, no matter where you are or where you go, our God will cause you to prosper. Prosper, having peace, confidence and believing regardless of the situation. The prisons we are thrown in today are prisons of the mind. People feeling so guilty for the things they have done and they don’t want to turn to God. Feeling shamed inside. Trapped and caught in a snare of pain and no way out. Our God is a God of love and forgiveness; he is a God who delivers us out of all our fears. People who have been abused sexually, molested with greed and jealousy, being told your stupid all your life, our God delivers! The thief takes away, God gives. There are parents, spouses, and so called friends who inflict their miserable attitudes onto you. Ever catch yourself trying above and beyond to act perfect hoping that person would like you better, accept and love you more? You can act happy go lucky around your friends but when that person walks in the room, your nervous and you change your actions? Feeling controlled by the person instead of you being in control! That is a mental prison! Guilt, condemnation, hopelessness, un-controlled fear, jealousy, rage, greed, It’s those things and more that put people into a mental prison. It takes God to deliver us and he will and he does. But it is up to you to believe. Even though Joseph was in prison, God blessed him. I am not going to finish this chapter. Joseph did get out of prison and had the kingdom restored unto him. The king had dreams, and only God was able to interpret them through Joseph. Because of Joseph listening and carrying out Gods Word, he brought Egypt to being one of the richest nations in the world. Listening and carrying out Gods Word will always bring prosperity. I know Joseph was in prison for over two years, and I also know he had a lot of mental pressures, the reason I know this is because the Word says God delivered him from all his afflictions acts 7;9
So many men of God were thrown into prison for loving and speaking God’s Word. Hated and despised by the high priests, priests who you would think would love God and his people. Apostle Paul was be-headed in prison, Sampson, had his eyes plucked out and thrown into prison, David, Elijah, so many men were pursued by the enemy to be killed. The apostles were thrown into prison a few times; Stephen was killed by being stoned to death. It really doesn’t matter how long you live, what matters is the quality of life you live. Jesus, he didn’t live long, his ministry, the time he spent on earth teaching and loving people was around six months. What did they do to him? He was falsely accused, beaten so bad his face looked like hamburger, homosexually abused, whipped, these whippings consisted of long cords and at the ends of them had sharp pieces of metal or bone, and when it came whipping across your back it would take chunks of flesh with it. The pictures you see of Jesus in churches are such a lie. His face was a bloody pulp, thick long thorns shoved into his scalp, he was so beaten he couldn’t walk; they had to drag him up to the place to be nailed. Simon had to carry the wooden cross, Jesus Christ bore the cross of our sins, sickness, sufferings, guilt, that’s what he bore. He didn’t bear a stupid wooden cross for us, he bore our sufferings. He was literally mutilated so you and I could live and have health. Do you get the picture that he died so we could live?  All the wonderful promises God has given to us, it didn’t cost us anything, but it cost God, it cost God’s only begotten son. You didn’t do anything to merit his grace, love, kindness and forgiveness. Christ paid that price. Look how he was treated for being loving. We need to stand for God, rise up and claim that we have been set free. We have been forgiven; if God forgets then you need to forget your stupid sins.  Did God lie or is he telling the truth. Religion has turned more people away from the true God more than anything else in this world. It was these religious rulers that killed Jesus, killed apostle Paul, and Stephen, it was religious leaders who accuse, degrade and shove your face in the dirt. Religion is not God Almighty. Our God is a God of tender mercies, loving and looks at us with great grace. He knows we’re made out of dirt and we are weak. He wanted a family; he wanted kids to love him. And the devil has turned him into being a liar, a murderer and a thief because of religion. They say God kills; he needs one more rose petal in heaven, that’s why he killed your baby. That is a lie straight from the pit of hell; our God does not kill, steal and destroy. Get it straight, the Word of God is the will of God. God is here to deliver us out of every mental prison the world has shoved your face in. God sets us free when we have been encased with fear. We are never alone, even though in this life it can feel sometimes lonely, God will never leave you, ever. Our thoughts may have turned away but God doesn’t.  His arms are always stretched out waiting for you to return so he can hug you.  If God be for me who can be against me
So, how do we resist evil? How do we stand in this perverted evil world?. God calls it dark and perverted, and so it is. I told you the high priests killed Stephen, I want to show you briefly what they said and did to him and then you will read his re-action just before he died.

Acts 5  ⁸And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people. (all he did was love and literally set people free who were oppressed)

 ⁹Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen.

 ¹⁰And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.

 ¹¹Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God.

 ¹²And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came upon him, and caught him, and brought him to the council,

 ¹³And set up false witnesses, which said, This man ceaseth not to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law:

There you go again, time after time, people stirring up people’s minds with lies and deceit, false witnesses. Accusing him of lies. Philippians says we are living in the midst of a dark and perverted nation, among whom we shine as lights. We cannot stop evil but we can resist it, we can stop it from taking over our minds.  In a previous chapter when the apostles were thrown into prison for speaking the Word of God, it says an angel let them out the prison doors and God told them to GO, STAND AND SPEAK these words of life. Go do the things you were thrown into prison for. Someone has to stand and speak for God, the only reason you would stop speaking it is because of fear, too embarrassed to stand for God. What would people think of you if you talked about God? God isn’t ashamed of you. Go, and take a Stand! If you don’t’ stand for God then you will fall for anything. Back to Stephen.  Look at verse 10; they couldn’t resist the wisdom the Stephen. God says he gives us wisdom. Wisdom comes from getting knowledge and then applying that knowledge. God wants us to be smart, he doesn’t want us to be stupid and ignorant, and he wants us to know that we know, so we aren’t tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine.

Stephen had just finished telling the religious leaders specific important details outlining things that had taken place with Moses and others. Then he goes on to say this to them.

Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

 ⁵²Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:

 ⁵³Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.

 ⁵⁴When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.

 ⁵⁵But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

 ⁵⁶And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

 ⁵⁷Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,

 ⁵⁸And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul. (Saul is the Apostle Paul, God changed his name, he used to throw believers into prison, have them killed, until God changed his life)

 ⁵⁹And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

 ⁶⁰And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep. (fell asleep, means he died)

Oh my God, what a man of courage and heart. They gnashed on him with their teeth, pure hate and rage came upon him. For what? Because he loved God and people. Then just before he died, he talked to his heavenly father, and said, Lord lay not this sin to their charge. How do you think God must of felt? How do you think God must have felt when they were driving nails inside of Jesus’ hands and feet? How would you feel if you saw your son or daughter being beaten to death? I know how I would feel. Look at his heart. Look at the next scriptures I am going to give you, it is the HOW to resist evil.

 ¹I beseech (means I lovingly beg you) you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

 ²And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

You must change your thinking, put off the old negative ways of thinking and put on the new thoughts of God’s Word.

These next scriptures, you need to memorize them, repeat them over and over again in your mind until you know them by heart. Make these words the words that come out of your mouth and your life. God says to do it, then do it. God’s word is always the opposite from the world teaches.

⁹Let love be without dissimulation (that’s acting out a part). Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.    

 ¹⁰Be kindly affectionate one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

¹¹Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; (be faithful to details)

 ¹²Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

 ¹³Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. (Give; don’t turn your back when you see a need)

 ¹⁴Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.

 ¹⁵Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

 ¹⁶Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. (Don’t be wise in your own stupidity)

 ¹⁷Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

 ¹⁸If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

 ¹⁹Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

 ²⁰Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

 ²¹Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Love is the strongest force in the world, to get rid of love you would have to get rid of that person who loves. Love is so powerful it paralyzes evil. Be not overcome with evil, Vengeance is mine, vengeance belongs to God, stop trying to take his job. People spend millions of dollars suing people. They spend days of their lives waiting to get even. Gangs are mounting up all over the world because of vengeance. Wives angry at their husbands and doing horrible things to each other because they want vengeance. You did me wrong now I am gonna get even with you.  Don’t mess with me!  or your loved ones, they get mad at you so they are going to pay you back by not letting you see the kids, or stay silent, punish that person by not speaking to them, punish that person by spreading nasty things about them, setting up false evidence against them. You hate me, I will hate you. And it goes on and on and on.

Our God is a loving and tender father. If your enemy hungers, feed him, if he thirst give him a drink. Which means, when someone is mean to you or does something rotten to you, do something for him, bless him, by your doing so, you will warm him up on the inside. God wants to reach out and save those who live in mental prisons of hate and anger. God cannot love them without us loving them. Do not allow evil to overcome you, the only way to overcome it, to resist evil, is to love. It doesn’t matter if you feel bad or don’t want to. Our walk with God is not based on whether or not you feel good or if you like it. God says do it. The thief is here on earth to steal, kill and destroy, we are here to GO, STAND and SPEAK these words of life. Be not afraid of any man, do not be afraid of your enemy, we stand! I will end this with Ephesians 6

¹⁰Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Get strong in God, in his might and power, not yours)

 ¹¹Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

 ¹²For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (It’s always principalities we fight against, not the individual)

 ¹³Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

 ¹⁴Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; (God’s armour is his Word, your loins, where you stand, figure of speech, means to have truth in your minds, you love, you believe, we are in a spiritual battle day after day. Put on means to put on in your minds God’s word. Joseph had to do that)

 ¹⁵And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; (That’s your walk with God, his Word is peace, its life giving)

 ¹⁶Above all, taking the shield of faith (believing), wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts (arrows) of the wicked.

In the eastern culture when they went to war, their arrows were made out of hallowed out reeds filled with a substance that would combust on contact. They would light the ends of the arrows with fire. Then they took aim, pointed it exactly where they want to hurt you, and then fire. Those arrows in our day and time mean, people will say and do such cruel things to. Your mom, or dad, sisters, brothers, your good friend, when you least expect it, they will shoot cruel words at you. It hurts and hurts bad. We can’t stop people from being mean to us, but we can stop their cruelty from lodging in our brains, how? By taking the shield of believing. With those arrows on fire, the army was handed huge shields to protect their body. We, our minds are protected when we believe and trust God. We are to take the shield of believing. God tells us twice here in Ephesians to stand! Above all STAND! Stand for the one and only true God, we stand and walk in love, that is power, we get strengthened in Gods power. We are here to love for God and to be loved by him. What a great life we have, a life filled with challenges, a life of victories a life to give and love, to set others free. Having done all, stand, don’t budge, have your feet planted in the cement of God’s Word. Where ever you go in life, God will cause you to prosper, for we have been set free. Go love so others can be set free. Jesus paid the ransom, he paid dog, the bounty hunter, he paid all your fines and fees that were held against you. God bless, you are the best, in this evil perverted world, stand, and shine! I love you.

Choose life or death

September 12, 2010    I have set before thee Life or Death, Blessing or Cursing

God promises us a land of milk and honey, a land of rivers and valleys, rains from heaven and water to drink.  A land that God careth for.  Deuteronomy 11:9 He wants the days of our life to be multiplied, food filled to over flowing, our gardens producing fruits and vegetables. He wants us to have his blessings.  He wants us to live without fears, to be healthy and loving to others.  The love of God never speaks un-kind to others; it has no anxiety or fears, or condemnation. His love covers a multitude of sins. It is never harsh, bitter or needling others, it has no punchy sarcasm in fact it thinks no evil. This is what God asks, that we love him and love our neighbor. Jesus Christ said in doing this it fulfills the law, it is the one and only true law. Love and love all the way.

 However at times we may & think evil and talk evil.  Have fears, doubts, and anxieties.  Ever wonder why your prayers go un- answered.    The battle of condemnation and jealousy living within. Remembering your sins and others after God forgave you and remembers them no more, yet hanging on to them.  How can I line up with what God says along with my heart, mouth and lifestyle, how can Gods word become my word. How can his ways become my ways?

Deuteronomy 30;19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live;    V20, that thou mayest love the Lord thy God and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him; for he is thy life and the length of thy days; that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob to give them.

Here it is!!!!! This is the beginning of how to walk with God. He lays down his Word to us and then it is up to us to choose. Freedom of will. (mayest, means you might or might not) Can God make you believe? NO. Can he make you love him? NO. Can he make you happy? NO.  Can he make you sad and frustrated? NO. He cannot do any of these things and more. If he did then it would be possession and he doesn’t possess people, devil spirits do.  If God can’t make you believe him, he is also not responsible for your un-belief. He tells you to choose, he sets it before you and now it’s up to you, take it or leave it. If you stop believing Gods Word then you fight with the World and all its anxieties, fears and frustrations.  Choose his word and it is life and length of days. Organic granola isn’t your lengthen your days, Working out 24 7 in the gym isn’t going to lengthen your days.  God gives you the length of days.  Here is another question I need to ask, if God cannot make you choose to live life then can you make someone else love you? NO, can you make someone else mad? NO, you do not have the power to make anyone love you, be kind, hate, get angry, think positive. You cannot make anyone happy! If God cannot do it, you cannot do it, it is freedom of will to choose what you’re going think and how you’re going to act. If your miserable and prayers are not getting answered, is God responsible? If a person you are with and they are miserable are you responsible for their happiness? NO because you cannot make anyone do anything! If God can’t, you can’t! But you know what I was raised to think?  That I was the one responsible for making people angry, I was blamed at making them sad, and I blamed me right along with them.  I continued to blame others for making me mad. No one can make you mad, you allow it. I am not responsible to make anyone happy; it is up that person to choose how they want to act and what they want to believe. We were raised in a blame game all our life. People blame God all the time for their lousy life. They blame their parents, their spouses; blame everyone except looking at themselves. It is their freedom of will to choose what to think. It is your freedom of will to choose Gods way or the highway. Heaven or Hell or life and peace. You choose, if God could make you believe his Word and love him so he can shower you with blessings then he would! He can’t make you believe, and you cannot make others believe. Therefore, if you love someone and in return they don’t love you and get mean, you are not responsible for their actions! God is not responsible for yours. You are choosing what to think and then how you’re going to act.  If people don’t like you when you love them, the Word says to shake the dust off your feet and move on, leave their dirty laundry behind you and leave.  You really need to ask yourself, what have you been choosing everyday to think, blessings or cursings?  God is the one who sets life before us, and then it’s up to us to choose.

Deuteronomy 11:26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse.

Deuteronomy 30; 15 See I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil.

It’s not Gods fault you’re not blessed, neither is it his will. God’s Word is always his will. He is our life, he gives us life and that life isn’t just to exist, there is no life in existing. He wants us fruitful; abound with abundance, growth, and our hearts continuing to get bigger and bigger, wealth, health, and prosperity!!!!  Gods giving is fathomless and endless.  Can you imagine an endless supply for the rest of your life? The reason most people give up on God is because of fear, fear always destroys man, his dreams, goals, health, confidence, security and love. Fear is the root of all of it. What you believe is what you will receive; fear is believing except you don’t get results you get consequences. Over and over God tells us to NOT fear, he cannot make us to not fear, you have to replace your negative thinking with God’s word. Next time you start to get scared or nervous, then remind yourself what God says. 

Deuteronomy 31; 6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them; for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee nor forsake thee.

Deuteronomy 31; 8 And the lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee neither forsake thee; fear not, neither be dismayed (shook up, anxieties)

I Kings 8;5 blessed be the Lord that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised; there hath not failed one word of all his good promises, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant

Joshua 23; 10 One man of you shall chase a thousand; for the Lord your God he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you. V.11 Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love the Lord your God

Joshua 23;14 And behold this day I am going the way of all the earth; and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spake concerning you, all are come to pass unto you and not one thing hath failed.

God sets before us blessings, here you go sweetheart, and here is what you can have. The how is accepting the price that Gods only son who never did anything wrong to anyone, all he ever did was love, showed compassion and care, went out of his way to do an act of kindness. He never spit on any ones face, he went without so you and I could have.   Jesus paid that price for me and you. Because of what Jesus Christ accomplished, we can stand before God without any sense of guilt or shame. There is a reason to live. To make Gods word your way of life, you need commit yourself to choosing his Word, you commit to putting it in your mind, choose to think it. The love of God or doing something for another person is only a thought a way. Your negatives are just a thought a way also. The building of the Word takes time. His Word gives you the principles on which to build. It is one thought at a time. God backs up his Word, every promise he’s made to us he backs up. We have exceeding and great precious promises. God fights for you, people fight at you. People fail their words; you have been failed by words all your life. God’s Word never ever fails!  You choose to think his Word moment by moment, thought by thought. You must replace thoughts. You have to tell your mind what to think; if you don’t then other people will delight in telling you what to do and how to do it. Circumstances will control you instead of you controlling them. We are surrounded daily with negatives, whether they are by TV, friends, co-workers, family, failures from our past, haunting insecurities, our old negative behaviors, these thoughts come at us, they can and will attack us. We get attacked in the mind. That’s what God is saying, choose what to think! It will either be life, his words or death, negatives of the world. When your mind and in your heart, starts to think doubt, a little fear starts to creep in, catch it right then and there. Replace and repeat to yourself what God has said. I will fight for you, I will protect you, you can come up against a thousand men and I your Lord God will fight your battles. We are up against a thousand negatives; give it to God by saying and thinking what he promised. It can be difficult at first, because our minds are accustomed to immediately think negative. You literally need to tell your mind what to think. If God says he will protect you, regardless of the situation, then he means it. You have to stop putting a question mark behind it or saying but… It takes time to trust God, we have been failed all our lives by people, close loved ones, close un-loved ones. No one ever told me I could live without fear. My parents put so much fear into me that I thought that’s how life is. No one was ever to be trusted, and that carries over to me trusting God, man I was very leery. How can God love me after all the crap I have done. When I needed help desperately there was no one to turn to. A lot of things we have deep down in our hearts, a lot of hurt, a lot of shame, and a lot of mistrust. God knows that and he is and will lovingly remind you he will take care of us. God Almighty in the Greek is el Shadiah, which means he will fight for you and supply every one of your needs. He is a loving father and very protective of his kids. He doesn’t like it when you’re getting hurt and accused; he comes prepared to battle for you. All he asks is that you trust him. Trust takes time; God will make himself known unto you. He starts by giving you his Word. It is up to you to choose to believe it or not.

II Peter 1; 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. V3 according as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness (spiritual relationship w/God) through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. Which means a unique and separated superiority excellence). V4. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises; that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. Which means the world is getting worse and worse around us. V5 And beside this, giving all diligence (attention) add to your believing virtue (superior excellence) and to virtue, knowledge; v6. And to knowledge temperance (self control), and to temperance patience (control of your decisions) and to patience godliness (spiritual relationship. V7. And to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. Charity is the Love of God in action by you) v8 For if these things be in you and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren (useless) nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our lord Jesus Christ.

v.9 But he that lacketh these things is blind and cannot see afar off and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.  

God can’t say it any clearer! You think it, you choose moment by moment what you’re going to think and act.

You can change from being in darkness to light, ignorant to a knowing and wisdom. Anything you ask from God you get because he promised. You can live without fear, and turmoil. You can live in such a greater peace that the Apostle Paul said he didn’t have the words to explain it, it passes our understanding it’s so huge! You can go from condemning yourself to loving who you are, because God made you lovely and acceptable, Ephesians 1. You can choose to control your life instead of being controlled by others. One thought of God’s word at a time. I cannot fathom having grace and peace multiplied to me, I am so used to confusion and drama. He said it he means it. Through knowledge, the more you learn the more you can believe. The more you know of God the more you can trust. People spend thousands of dollars going to counseling, seeking help. God has given us all things that pertain unto life. Well what pertains to life? Clothes, food, shelter, money, to be loved, to love, inner peace, ability to make sound decisions quickly, knowing what words to say when you need to confront someone, how to stand against evil, how to maintain a positive attitude longer than a hour, to live without fear, what do you need in life? God says he has given us all things that pertain unto life, well then, if he has given them unto us do we have to pray for them? No, just believe you got them and then act like it. God has given you all things. Your job can not give you all things, neither can your friends nor spouse. In our day and in our time, these are dark times we are living in, life is no joke. God encourages us continually to believe him, trust him and choose to think his thoughts so they become your way of thinking. Only you can do it. Today, grab onto one of these promises and repeat it over and over in your heart. When you dare to believe God, your life will change; God will make it exciting and fun.  He is a kick in the butt, God has a great sense of humor, if you want security and prosperity, choose to think what he has laid before you. I do not want to be blind, I want to see and experience life, therefore I will Choose life.
